German-Israeli Foundation (GIF) 2016 - Medicine and Social Sciences
The GIF Regular Program supports cooperative research projects conducted jointly by German and Israeli scientists. Each project should include at least one team from each country. The head of each team is to be specified as Principal Investigator (PI) in the application.
Starting with the submission cycle 2016 the GIF Regular Program will be open according to a new 3-year cycle:
Cycle I - Fall 2016: Medicine and Social Sciences:
- Medicine: Basic Research, Practical Medicine, Clinical Research, Biomedical Research etc.
- Social Sciences: Economics, Education, Law, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, etc.
Cycle III - Fall 2018: Exact Sciences and Engineering/Technology
Success rate: 21.3%
Projects must involve active collaboration between Israeli and German scientists, such as interdependent research conducted in different laboratories, mutual visits at the partner's lab sharing of research facilities, materials, equipment and/or services, exchange of scientific and technological knowledge, and/or exchange of research personnel.
The application website will be open from 1 August, 2016, for submissions in both programs, and will be closed on Wednesday, 26 October, 2016, 16:00 Israel time.
